Our long-term partnerships with landowners are built on transparent, ethical practices and based on trust and mutual benefit
As well as taking care of the bees, we're also dedicated to looking after our landowner partners: the good folk who keep our beehives on their land. We talked to one such landowner recently - sheep and beef farmer Doug McKenzie - to see what he thinks.
“I chose to work with The True Honey Co. because I value integrity and then it was about how efficient they were at coming in and pulling the hives out at the right time and working to maximise our return. Very, very happy with the partnership.”
BRIAN, FARMER, MANAWATU-WANGANUI
“The honey production coincides with weaning, our busiest and most important revenue period on the farm. My main stipulation in dealing with a Manuka Honey partner was to not have any hassles or distractions from my core job at this time. The True Honey Co. and their staff have been great at professionally doing what they need to do, without impacting on what we need to be doing”
DOUG, SHEEP AND BEEF FARMER, WAIRARAPA
“They are very professional, transparent and great to do business with. I was able to track the honey from our land to the drum, which is critical to ensure we validate the integrity of the honey, to get the best value for our honey.”
